Mirai Sozojuku H Village is a new student residential complex, the latest addition by Maki and Associates to Keio University’s Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC). An extension of the existing SFC campus plan, this new residential mini-campus is formed from a cluster of low and medium-rise buildings - its exterior central plaza and promenade following the undulations of existing terrain and connecting directly to the main campus. Shared spaces and learning lounges in each residential block, together with cafeteria and multipurpose facilities in the common building, encourage communication and interaction amongst residents and help create a sense of community amongst residents.
