TEPIACompletion Date:1989
TEPIA is a government-sponsored exhibition hall, introducing and highlighting recent technological advancements and providing event and lecture space for technology-related activities. In response to its low-scaled Jingu Gaien Park context, Tepia’s overall building volume is kept modest, with ample open space around the perimeter – creating an effect closer to a pavilion in a park than a large urban exhibition hall. Its sharply chiselled overall exterior form, and its crisp aluminum and glass vocabulary create an abstract, high-tech image appropriate for the cutting-edge exhibitions inside.
