Construction begins for Phase I (South Tower) of Shibaura Redevelopment Project

The two skyscrapers built on this site overlooking Tokyo Bay is set to be a place for scenic views unlike any other in the city. The complex is designed to be a major hub for the transportation network from Hamamatsu-cho Station to the sea and Tamachi area, surrounded by a lush green environment, and a place where people and nature coexist and grow dynamically. The site is connected by land to the former Shiba Rikyu Gardens, a traditional cultural heritage, drawing in the rich water and greens within the complex. In this way, the new Shibaura Project is aspired to act as a bridge connecting past heritages and the rich environment to the future. Although the usage of this building will inevitably shift in accordance with future societies, it is hoped that the environment built here will remain in the hearts and memories of its visitors, and will continue to progressively evolve in the future.
